ANTHROPNEUMA

Anthropneuma engages with the spiritual plane, beyond political and religious barriers built to define and segregate those who thing and believe differently than others. It does not focus on a religious mind, but a spiritual mind. It does not require knowledge of, or within religion, it requires experience within the soul. My work is the narrator which engages within the soul's mind, eye, and ear. It is the springboard to other-consciousness present in the conscious body.

The collection of sculptural objects translates feelings, emotions, and stories from the spiritual place, the feeling space to embody meaning into synthesized artwork. The work presented here is the metamorphosis from creative object analysis into unified sculptures; it is the translation of an abstract language bound and present in the connection of materiality and integration. My work rests in the negative space between perception and emotion by engaging the physical senses to interact with the other-sensory, the intuitive or spiritual self. My art is a bridge between the subconscious and conscious mind in order to access the space of feeling.

Anthropneuma is the translation of experiential, connective forces which bind the universe together. My work translates and utilizes these connective strings through intuitive partnerships between myself and the material. The forms and structures materialize and directly engage with the ethereal and spiritual. I aim to engage my audience through inward thinking to create a place of contemplation, reflection, and meditation.
